And Now Vandalism

This is Mike H on Marson St. Up from the park. Yesterday somebody vandalized my fence posts actually splitting my vinyl post at the rolling gate between me and my neighbor and knocking off 2 of my solar light posts breaking them. I will call mission police today. We need to do something about these 2 occurrences. Plus we have homeless who have moved into Living outside the pocket park. I called the police about that when it started just before the new paving.

Subject: Notice - Teenagers kicking doors

Message from a Neighbor

Hello,
Yesterday around 7:22 PM my door was kicked hard by a teenage boy.  initially i was surprise to hear the loud bang on my door and it took me a few seconds to realized what just happened.  My full attention was on the ball game and it didn’t fully registered with me where the noise came from.
I live on the 15000’s block of Lanark, busy street.  By the time i checked my cameras and was able to confirm my door was indeed kicked by a group of kids.

It was too late, they were gone.  They ran towards the apartment complex at the corner of Lanark and Sepulveda Pl.  I was able to see a few individuals hanging around the parking lot but as soon as they saw my motion lights come on as I stepped out onto my driveway, they ran. On video, You can see three kids, two on the top of the frame, one wearing white shorts and a backpack and the other, just his shadow and lastly the kid walking up to my door.

I have still pictures of the kid that kicked the door, wondering if anyone could recognize him?  I would love to have a very nice conversation with his parents over coffee or even tacos.  My house is one of the few without a gate and therefore easy access to my front door.

We have reached out to the Police to notify them of what these kids are doing and of course, there’s nothing they can do since there’ s really no damage to my property.

I have adjusted my motion lights and will be installing a 2nd very soon. Also, i have trimmed the tree which gives me a better camera view.

Thanks for reading this and any input would be appreciated.

The safety of our Neighborhood is not up to the Police...IT IS OURS!

It is up to everyone that lives in our community to watch out, not only for themselves but, for their neighbors. If you see cars that are parked and not moved for more than 72 hours call 311 and report it. If you see any vandalism, PLEASE report it. If you see someone that obviously doesn't belong or is doing something they shouldn't be, PLEASE report it. Lets keep our neighborhood clean, if you see furniture being dumped, call and have it removed.

WE ARE THE EYES AND EARS FOR THE POLICE. IT IS UP TO US TO KEEP OUR NEIGHBORHOOD SAFE!!!
