Nixle Message - Homicide


Advisory: Mission Area Detectives need the public's help to solve a homicide that happened on Memorial Day



On Monday May 25, 2015 at 2250 hours, Mission Area Officers responded to an  "Ambulance Stabbing" at the bus stop in front of 9107 Van Nuys Blvd in Panorama City.  Upon arriving at the location, officers discovered Pablo Martinez, a 40 year old male lying on the ground on the sidewalk next to the bus stop at above location.  During further examination officers observed that Victim had multiple stab wounds to the chest area.  Victim was treated by Los Angeles City Fire Department personnel and transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.  Victim was pronounced dead at 0057 hours on May 26, 2015.  

Suspects at this time are described as two male Hispanics approximately 20 years old.

Detectives are asking anyone with additional information on this case to contact Mission Homicide Detectives.

ON MAY 20, 2015, AT 01:30 AM, AVA BAR-ILLAN WAS ABDUCTED FROM SAN JOSE, CALIFORNIA.

AVA BAR-ILLAN IS A 6-YEAR-OLD, HISPANIC, FEMALE, 3 FEET TALL, 60 POUNDS, JUVENILE WITH BROWN HAIR, AND BROWN EYES, LAST SEEN WEARING A BLUE MINNIE MOUSE SHIRT.

SUSPECT IS MAURICE CHEADLE, A 39-YEAR-OLD, BLACK, MALE, 6 FEET 1 INCHES TALL, WEIGHING 195 POUNDS, WITH BLK HAIR, HAZEL EYES, LAST SEEN WEARING A PINK SHIRT, BLACK PANTS.

THE SUSPECT WAS LAST SEEN DRIVING A DARK COLORED CHEVROLET CRUZ, WITH A CA LICENSE PLATE OF 6VUS072.

SECOND SUSPECT IS DAWN ATKISSON, A 35-YEAR-OLD, WHITE FEMALE, 5 FEET 9 INCHES TALL, WEIGHING 185 POUNDS, WITH BLONDE HAIR, HAZEL EYES.

If you see cars that are parked and not moved for more than 72 hours call 311 and report it. If you see any vandalism, PLEASE report it. If you see someone that obviously doesn't belong or is doing something they shouldn't be, PLEASE report it. Lets keep our neighborhood clean, if you see furniture being dumped, call and have it removed.
